Pet Bereavement Counselling

After my soul cat Cheeks was euthanised in May 2019 I fell into a deep and dark well of grief and could only find limited support. I know in my heart that my grief journey would have been very different if I received the appropriate support by someone who really understood what it is to lose someone so close. While no one can take away your grief - it's a natural part of loving deeply, knowing that there is at lease one person who "gets it" and "gets you" can be comforting. That person is Me. I can help support you by giving you the time and space to share your deepest grief. We can discuss ways to memorialise your beloved pet and if there are children or other pets involved, we can discuss how the death of the family pet could be impacting them and ways to navigate and support that. I can also be there for your "year of firsts".

It seems to me, that if we love, we grieve. That's the deal. That's the pact. Grief and love are forever intertwined. Grief is the terrible reminder of the depths of our love and, like love, grienf is non-negotiable.
